About Amy Turbes

Amy Turbes is the senior director of Principal Gifts Operations at Creighton University. She has worked at Creighton for 15 years. Amy has also held positions with Family Housing Advisory Services, Habitat for Humanity International in Tanzania, the YWCA of Boulder County, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.

Amy is currently the president of the Gilbert Swanson Foundation and very much enjoys seeing the donor side of things. Amy is an active member and volunteer with Apra both at the International and regional levels. Amy was named the 2020 Apra Margaret Fuhry Award Winner nominated by her peers.

As a true extrovert, Amy loves connecting "people dots." She believes in the six degrees of separation rule and will make sure to figure out how you are connected or how she can connect you to someone. This part of her personality is genetic and adds to her love of fundraising strategy which has led to exciting conversations with strangers on airplanes.
