Alumni UpdateChen's research interests include state and local budgeting and finance, public pension management, fiscal stress management, and comparative public administration. Chen's work has been published in several English and Chinese academic journals, including Public Budgeting & Finance, Municipal Finance Journal, Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management, and Journal of Public Administration (China). When Professor Chen is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his six-month-old daughter Lisa Jing Chen. As for long term goals, Professor Chen is learning acoustic guitar and is training for a Marathon.
