The Arlene Steier Memorial Scholarship serves to commemorate the life of Arlene Steier, a fixture in the aviation community and graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Aviation Institute.

Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible for this scholarship:

  • Candidates shall be an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Aviation at the Aviation Institute, College of Public Affairs & Community Service, University of Nebraska at Omaha.
  • Candidate must demonstrate financial need
  • Candidates must be enrolled in the current semester at UNO, AND the Summer or Fall semesters

About Arlene Steier

In May of 2018 the Omaha community lost David and Arlene Steier in a tragic accident. Arlene had been a fixture in the aviation community for many years and was a graduate of the Aviation Institute. Her family created a scholarship to honor Arlene and her passion for safety and aviation.
