What's Going on This Year?
The UNO Aviation Institute Exploring Post kicked off another exciting year of hands-on learning and discovery for students interested in aviation careers. During the kickoff meeting on September 17 at the UNO Thompson Alumni Center, attendees learned about upcoming opportunities to explore the many sides of the aviation industry—including piloting, air traffic control, airport management, and more.
This semester, participants have already experienced exclusive behind-the-scenes tours with the Omaha Airport Fire Department and visited Duncan Aviation for an in-depth look at their operations. From interactive flight simulations to real-world industry connections, the Exploring Post continues to offer students unique opportunities to engage with aviation professionals and discover where their future could take them.
