Prospective Students

Thinking about joining the Aviation Institute? Our advisor is here to guide you even before you apply to UNO. Once you’ve decided UNO is the right fit, here’s what to do next:

  1. Apply Online.

  2. Request official transcripts from all high schools and colleges you’ve attended. These must be sent directly to the UNO Admissions Office to complete your admission.

  3. Submit ACT or SAT scores if you have fewer than 12 credit hours of college coursework.

  4. Register for placement tests through mavLINK.

  5. Receive your Placement Exam results. If you don’t get them, contact the Testing Center at 522 Kayser Hall or call 402.554.4800.

  6. Schedule an Orientation session via mavLINK. All new and transfer students must attend orientation before meeting with an Academic Advisor. Online sessions are available.

  7. If you’re a transfer student, schedule an appointment with your Academic Advisor, Sara Martin, at 402.554.2986 or sglathar@unomaha.edu.

  8. Prepare for your advising appointment by bringing your placement exam results and NU ID. Review the UNO Catalog and class schedule for your chosen major.

We’re excited to help you take the next step toward your aviation career!
