The Flying Mavericks Flight Team represents the University of Nebraska at Omaha in collegiate aviation competitions through the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA). Established in 1992 and proudly sponsored by Jet Linx Aviation, the team consists of dedicated students and faculty who compete in a range of ground, simulator, and flight events at both regional and national SAFECON competitions. All UNO students are encouraged to get involved and experience the excitement of competition flying—no prior aviation experience required.
