13th Floor Editorial Team | Spring 2026

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Anna Lisa is currently pursuing a BFA in creative writing in the Writer’s Workshop at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her poetry and creative nonfiction have both appeared in the 13th Floor Magazine. She served as their poetry editor in the spring of 2025.

PROMOTIONS EDITOR & FICTION EDITOR
Svea Rehn writes across genres with a heart rooted in creative nonfiction and fiction. She is currently working on her BA and BFA in English and Creative Writing at UNO. Her work has appeared in 13th Floor Magazine, and she has served as an Assistant Editor and Social Media Intern with The Linden Review.
Editorial Mission: I seek fiction that explores trauma, resilience, and healing. Stories told bravely and written without apology help us see ourselves more clearly. I’m drawn to prose that lingers, that turns pain into empathy, and transforms survival into something beautiful.

LAYOUT & DESIGN EDITOR & VISUAL ART co-EDITOR
Hannah Zink is a senior at the University of Nebraska Omaha, studying Marketing and Creative Writing. While she occasionally dabbles in poetry, her primary genre is Christian fiction. She also writes adventure, fantasy, and science fiction. She served on the Visual Arts Staff for The 13th Floor Magazine in 2025.
Editorial Mission: I am drawn to colorful, lifelike images. I enjoy portrayals of realism, often regarding human or animal life. I’m looking for thought-provoking artwork with a twist of fantasy, a blend of texture, and detailed imagination.

VISUAL ART co-EDITOR
Lexi Axiotes is a senior at the University of Nebraska at Omaha pursuing a BFA in creative writing with a concentration in fiction and minors in English, Journalism, and Editing & Publishing. Her prose has been featured in Experiences in Femininity, 13th Floor Magazine, and The Gateway newspaper.
Editorial Mission: I am drawn to visual art that shows a sophistication of the artist’s craft through technical choices. I am looking for visual art that forces its audience to feel something, whether that be joy, sadness, disgust, anger, resentment, or any other emotion that lingers. I want pieces that were inescapable to artists, haunting them, needing to be somewhere outside of their brains.

POETRY co-EDITOR
Josie Charron is a senior at UNO pursuing a BFA in Creative Writing (poetry) in the Writer’s Workshop. Josie writes confessional poetry focusing on stigmas around mental health, domestic violence, addiction, and homelessness.
Editorial Mission: I love poetry that pushes my own boundaries. I want to read and write poems that make me reframe my lens of the world. I seek boldness and vulnerability in writing, and I hope to spark an interest in poetry in others.

POETRY co-EDITOR
Bellamy Rump is currently pursuing a BFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) and a History minor at the University of Nebraska Omaha. They have published poems in Sad Girl Diaries and 13th Floor Magazine, and served as a staff member on 13th Floor Magazine and The Linden Review in the past.

CREATIVE NONFICTION EDITOR
Dean Wilson is pursuing a BFA in Creative Writing and a BS in Environmental Science at UNO. A Leadership Sarpy graduate, former Vice President of Sigma Tau Delta, and first-place winner in the magazine’s Creative Nonfiction category, his artwork has also been featured on its cover. An LGBTQ writer, he’s devoted to amplifying marginalized voices and challenging societal silence.
Editorial Mission:
I am drawn to CNF that dares to go where none have gone before. I welcome work that confronts today’s political and social struggles with courage and clarity and seek voices that rise above restriction, telling stories that demand to be heard and inspire empathy, change, and understanding.
