Biography

Curtis Reynolds serves as the Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He comes to higher education from a multifaceted background as a music director, actor, and voice teacher. He has worked nationally and internationally in Off-Broadway theaters, regional theaters, touring houses, cruise ships, international resorts and festivals, and educational institutions. He also served as the dedicated musical theatre faculty at both Fort Lewis College and, most recently, Creighton University. At Fort Lewis College he helped to shape the first year of their inaugural Musical Theatre degree program.

While originally from Nebraska, Curtis pursued his training on the East Coast, earning a Bachelor of Music from New York University and later a Master of Fine Arts from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee as part of their program’s inaugural class. His master’s thesis focused on applying deliberate practice within the context of the voice studio. Curtis's current research interests include utilizing asynchronous video software to enhance group learning in musical theatre training.
