Biography

Andrea Mehlhaff Weare is an Associate Professor in the School of Communication. Her professional experience includes AmeriCorps; nonprofit programming and marketing; medical research coordination; PR and advertising firm work; and news and features reporting.

Teaching Interests

She teaches strategic communication, journalism, media history, media theory, and qualitative research methodology.

Research Interests

Her research focuses on digital media / strategic communication, gender, and the politics of the body. Areas of interest include health, philanthropy and entrepreneurial communication, and popular culture.
