UNO is in Kayla Miller’s blood. She grew up the daughter of a UNO employee, and when the time came to choose a school for herself, UNO was the place for her. Now an alumna, she really enjoys working here. “I like having the ability to help the students I work with. I have built relationships where they can see me on campus or around the area and know there is a friendly face, and it makes your day when a student is happy they get admitted.”
She enjoys all of the interactions she has with the students she works with, and she loves getting involved on campus. Her coworkers have made campus a fun place to be. “Working with all of the great people throughout all of the years, I didn’t just make friends: I have made a family here.”
Kayla knows that UNO is a unique and special place, and that you’ll meet all kinds of friendly people here who are here to help you. “Even though it is in the city you still have that small-town feeling. You would never know there is such a busy street next to you. It feels comfortable, like home,” she says.
