The University Honors Program aligns itself with UNO's mission and strategic plan goals.
The University Honors Program offers academically motivated, ambitious, curious students opportunities to further their educational and academic experiences at UNO. It does this through carefully selected Honors courses, designed to engage and challenge learning through their interdisciplinary content.
We seek high-potential students who want creative and learner-centered educational experiences and want to share a community with others from diverse backgrounds. Our holistic approach to admission considers the whole student, as revealed in application essays and letters of recommendation, while high school GPA and ACT scores are factors but not barriers to admission.
Mission Statement
The mission of the University of Nebraska at Omaha University Honors Program is to provide an enhanced and supportive learning environment responsive to the educational needs of highly able and/or exceptionally motivated undergraduate students. Our mission accords with the goals of UNO's Strategic Plan.
