NCITE researchers at the University of Oklahoma are studying the rhetoric and messaging strategies used by extremist groups on online social media platforms.

Led by principal investigator Matthew Jensen, Ph.D., the team studied the differences in language used by violent and nonviolent groups and examined how exposure to social media feeds changed how strongly users feel about certain ideological issues.
