How We Help

The Digital Learning team in the Division of Innovative and Learning-Centric Initiatives enjoys serving faculty through a wide variety of workshops, professional development, trainings and supports.

All of these are aimed to equip UNO faculty with the skills and competencies they need to be successful in building engaging online courses and teaching with technology.

Need Help Sooner Than Later?

For real-time drop-in assistance with your online class or for help in using a teaching tool like Canvas, YuJa, Respondus, Zoom, or another integrated platform, members of our team are available by appointment at uno.its.digitallearning@unomaha.edu or by stopping by 113 Eppley Administration Building (EAB) from 8 A.M. - 4 P.M., Monday - Friday.

We also offer an extremely popular Virtual Support Drop-In Zoom room, which is also open for UNO faculty support and also from 9 A.M. - 4 P.M., Monday - Friday.


Instructional Technology

System Information
Yuja YuJa is an all-in-one video experience to securely create, manage, discover, and collaborate video content across any device.
Canvas Canvas (by Instructure) is a cloud-based learning management system (LMS) that is currently used by more than 700 colleges and universities around the world. Canvas is the LMS at all four of the University of Nebraska campuses (UNK, UNL, UNMC, UNO).
TurnItIn TurnItIn is a plagiarism prevention service connected to the Canvas Assignment Feature.
Akindi Akindi is a bubble sheet assessment platform and a substitute to campus Scantron services.
Qualtrics Qualtrics Research Suite is an easy-to-use, powerful tool for creating online surveys. It supports a wide range of approaches, from simple questionnaires and event signup lists to sophisticated social science research instruments with extensive scripting, randomization and interactive question presentation.
Respondus Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor is a product that can be used to protect the integrity of online exams and quizzes. It integrates with Canvas and works as a stand alone web browser that students use when taking quizzes in Canvas.
Zoom Zoom is a cloud-based, web collaboration service that connects multiple conference rooms and remote users for online classes, meetings and group projects. It is a free service available to all Faculty, Staff and Students.
