Biography

Kristin is an Instructional Design Technology Specialist with the Division of Innovative and Learning-Centric Initiatives at UNO.

She has a Master of Science in instructional design and technology and has worked in higher education for many years.

She started at UNO in the Information Technology Services department in 2017.

In addition to working at UNO, she is an online adjunct professor for Bellevue University in the Graphic Design program.

Education

  • MS, Western Illinois University, instructional design and technology, educational, instructional, and curriculum supervision
  • BS, Missouri Western State University, graphic design, fine/studio arts

Why UNO and Digital Learning

Being an Instructional Design Technology Specialist, I am able to work in my areas of interest, which include using instructional design theories and principles, along with the principles and elements of design to help faculty create the best student-centric and accessible courses possible.

Interests and Hobbies

I combine my love of reading, writing, baking, and photography by sharing photos and book reviews on my Instagram account

Vacation Spot

I was fortunate enough to visit Ireland in Spring 2019, and present at the AHEAD Universal Design for Learning conference in Dublin. Ireland is my No. 1 vacation spot.
