In order to respond safely to laboratory emergencies, the Omaha Fire/HAZMAT Department has requested chemical inventories, to include chemical name, CAS number, location and quantity, for each laboratory room at UNO.
EHS has committed to importing laboratory chemical inventories into an online central database using the Chemical Inventory Template.
In order for the import to be successful it is required that each Principal Investigator provide their chemical inventory, formatted in accordance with the Chemical Inventory Instructions.
Once completed please send the electronic inventory to EHS at uno.ehs@nebraska.edu.
EHS staff will then import your inventory into the database. Once all inventories are compiled, EHS staff will begin to train laboratory personnel to make future updates to chemical inventories, by using the online central database.
