Welcome back, Mavericks! The Creative Prodcution Lab (CPL) is proud to announce two major updates for Spring 2026, made possible by your support: New die-cut stickers and lower-priced 3D printing.

The Return of Die Cut Stickers

For a brief, beautiful moment in the past, the CPL offered sticker printing by-the-sheet. It was cute, inefficient, and unscalable. The service went away, and we received email after email demanding stickers, stickers, and more stickers. Using newly acquired commercial equipment, the CPL can now offer full color printed and cut vinyl for patron creative projects, office outreach, and event swag.

Our Roland BN2-20 was received and installed in July 2025, with a dry run of the service through December 2025. After testing and optimizing operations, we are ready to open the floodgates for everyone to print as many stickers as they can dream of. All requests are printed on heavy-duty gloss white vinyl with permanent outdoor-ready adhesive. Our stickers are fully waterproof and UV resistant for up to 3 years after application.

The aim of this service is to bring affordable, scalable, die-cut stickers right from the heart of campus for all patrons. Slap your art on water bottles. Promote your department or club. Top off your merchandise for events and outreach. With small minimum orders starting at only $4.00 per request, and NO LIMIT on quantity, let your imagination stick out. Faster and more affordable than online vendors, this service keeps resources on campus, to be re-invested in creative technologies right here in the Criss Library.

Price Reduction for ALL 3D printing

We’re always looking to make media technology more accessible based on your feedback. Thanks to your increase in service utilization through 2025, new machines that radically reduced waste, and vendor material bulk deals, both FDM plastic printing and SLA resin printing prices are now only $0.10 per unit of material.

Technology continues to be on our side as prices have slid from prior highs of $0.50/mL for resin, and $0.15/gram for PLA filament. Software optimization behind the scenes has only made printing faster and more efficient, while helping open the doors to more projects completed with fewer errors. A single lower price for all materials and machines will help patrons experiment and play with everything that 3D printing has to offer.

Popular 30mm D&D minifigs are now only $2.00, and all other printing starts at just $1.00 per request. By capitalizing on these updates, and wider utilization by the UNO community in 2026, we hope to unlock even more savings in the future!
