Bio
Shel Brennemann is a fourth-year Ph.D. Candidate who brings a background in education and psychology to her studies of public administration. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Wayne State College, before seeking her Master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Her dissertation, Trauma in the Classroom: Investigating Emotional Labor in Active Shooter Drills, examines how public-school educators experience and manage mandated safety drills, and the implications of these policies for teacher retention, trauma-informed governance, and public administration theory.
