Jamie Barrett Memorial Scholarship

  5. Jamie Barrett Memorial Scholarship

The Jamie Barrett Memorial Scholarship was established in 2014 to honor the life of Jamie Barrett. Mr. Barrett was a 35-year aviation industry veteran and held the Chief Operating Officer position with Jet Linx Aviation during its initial years of development. He was instrumental in the growth of the company and enjoyed spending time with UNO students while they completed their internships at Jet Linx Aviation. Mr. Barrett's family in partnership with Jet Linx, established this scholarship to inspire and contribute to the lives of many more UNO aviation students.

Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible for this scholarship:

  • Candidates shall be pursuing any major in the Aviation Institute, School of Public Administration, College of Public Affairs and Community Service, University of Nebraska at Omaha.
  • Candidates shall have incoming freshman class standing or above.
  • Candidates shall have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or above.
  • Students must plan to be enrolled in the Summer or Fall semester at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
