What is Computer Science?

The rapid advances in computing and communication technology have contributed significantly to a recent revolution in the utilization of information technology. This revolution, which touches all aspects of our modern society adds to the importance of computer science.

Computer Science at IS&T

The College of IS&T’s core requirements prepare students to design, develop, and implement personal computing systems and programming in client/server computing environments. The computer science degree requirements offer students a strong foundation in theory and applications of computing and problem solving while preparing them to adapt to new technology, enhance themselves to learn newly advanced technology, and perform independently regardless of the nature of the tasks assigned.

B.S. in Computer Science
