Biography

Dr. Kallstrom earned his Bachelor degree from Drake University and the Masters and Doctoral degrees from the Eastman School of Music. He studied organ with the noted teachers Russell Saunders and David Craighead. Dr. Kallstrom has performed in recitals on the East and West coasts, in the Midwest and Southwest, and was a featured recitalist at the Regional American Guild of Organists Convention of the AGO in Spokane, WA, in 1977. He has taught at Whitworth College, Oklahoma State University, Minot State College and Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and presently is on the faculties of the College of St. Mary and the University of Nebraska-Omaha where he teaches undergraduate and graduate organ and organ literature.

Dr. Kallstrom has extensive experience as a church musician having served Lutheran, Methodist and Presbyterian congregations for forty years. He has lead workshops on various topics for the American Guild of Organists and other organizations and currently serves as editor of the Windchest, the newsletter for the Omaha Chapter AGO.
