I was born and raised in Pasadena, California to a Mexican mother and Puerto Rican father. Both families instilled in me a deep passion and love of their respective cultures while growing up in a thriving Latino community, made me want to exalt in my culture in any way I can. In the end, that vessel became art; combining those themes with personal interests such as Nature and History which I chose to study in college with a minor in Latin American Studies. My works are primarily in linocut print and watercolor, and as an almost entirely self-taught artist, I look to explore other mediums such as gouache, ink and oil paint and expand my range of themes in history, nature, and people. Through my work, I hope viewers can see how the love of one’s owns roots can propel them into creating something truly beautiful in any way they choose.  

Nací y crecí en Pasadena, California, de madre mexicana y padre puertorriqueño. Ambas familias inculcaron en mí una profunda pasión y amor por sus respectivas culturas y, al crecer en una próspera comunidad latina, me hicieron querer exaltar mi cultura de cualquier manera que pueda. Al final, ese vehículo se convirtió en el arte; combinando esos temas con intereses personales como la naturaleza y la historia, las cuales elegí estudiar en la universidad con una subespecialización en estudios latinoamericanos. Mis obras son principalmente en grabado en linóleo y acuarela, y como artista casi completamente autodidacta, busco explorar otros medios como el gouache, la tinta y la pintura al óleo, y ampliar mi variedad de temas en la historia, la naturaleza y las personas. A través de mi trabajo, espero que los espectadores puedan ver cómo el amor por las propias raíces puede impulsarlos a crear algo verdaderamente hermoso de cualquier manera que elijan.

I was born in Central Mexico, in a small rural town. In 2019, I moved to Des Moines, Iowa, to pursue higher education. In 2022, I enrolled in Latinos in Action, a leadership class that taught me many skills within that field. In 2025, I joined Colectivo Luchart, a team of artists dedicated to promoting Hispanic art and culture. Since 2022, I've been very involved in the Hispanic community of Des Moines/Iowa and I've participated in events that celebrate our heritage, such as the Iowa Latino Fest or Semana Cultural of Iowa City.

Nací en el centro de México, en un pequeño pueblo rural. En 2019 me mudé a Des Moines, Iowa, para cursar estudios superiores. En el 2022, me inscribí en Latinos in Action, un programa de liderazgo que me brindó numerosas habilidades en este ámbito. En el 2025, me uní al Colectivo Luchart, un grupo de artistas dedicados a promover el arte y la cultura hispana. Desde el 2022, he participado activamente en la comunidad hispana de Des Moines/Iowa, y he participado en eventos que celebran nuestra herencia, como el Iowa Latino Fest o la Semana Cultural de Iowa City.

Faviola Calymayor was born and raised in West Texas. She currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with an emphasis on painting. She is a multimedia artist who incorporates her love of patterns into her projects. Through patterns from fabric or florals found in nature, she is often inspired by family history, nature, and cycles. Faviola focuses on creating pieces that tell a story of struggle and repair. She often blends pieces of her memories into art. Themes include repairing, excess, healing through humor, trauma, and growth.

Faviola Calymayor nació y creció en el oeste de Texas. Actualmente radica en Kansas City, Missouri. Se graduó del Instituto de Arte de la Ciudad de Kansas con énfasis en la pintura. Es una artista multimedia que incorpora su amor por los patrones artísticos en sus proyectos. A través de patrones de tela o flores que se encuentran en la naturaleza, a menudo se inspira en la historia familiar, la naturaleza y los ciclos. Graciela DeAnda

Graciela DeAnda is an interdisciplinary artist from Sioux City, Iowa, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Through photography, installation, sculpture, sound, and documentary storytelling, she explores migration, memory, family, and community. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, her practice examines how personal and collective histories are carried through bodies, objects, and place. She earned an MFA in Visual Studies from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and a BFA in Photography from the University of South Dakota. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is rooted in collaboration, storytelling, and honoring the resilience of immigrant communities.

Graciela DeAnda es una artista interdisciplinaria originaria de Sioux City, Iowa, radicada en Minneapolis, Minnesota. A través de la fotografía, la instalación, la escultura, el sonido y la narrativa documental, explora temas como la migración, la memoria, la familia y la comunidad. Como hija de inmigrantes mexicanos, su práctica examina cómo las historias personales y colectivas se manifiestan a través de los cuerpos, los objetos y los lugares. Obtuvo una maestría en Bellas Artes (MFA) en Estudios Visuales por la Facultad de Arte y Diseño de Minneapolis y una licenciatura en Bellas Artes (BFA) en Fotografía por la Universidad de Dakota del Sur. Mikha ‘Mikhamik’ Dominguez

Mikhamik is a queer Venezuelan artist, educator, and curator based in Minneapolis. With a background in marketing, audiovisual arts, and set design from Venezuela, got their BFA in Sculpture with an Art History at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Their work centers themes of migration, faith, queerness, and resilience, often using unconventional or found materials to create emotional and political impact. Mikhamik is a 2025 MRAC grant recipient and a Twin Cities Pride Artist-in Residence. Their work has been shown at Franconia Sculpture Park, CLUES, the University of Minnesota, St. Catherine University, St Thomas University and Springboard for the Arts. They have facilitated workshops and given artist talks across the Midwest and are deeply committed to uplifting LGBTQIA2S+ communities through art, storytelling, and collective healing. Mikha is the Coordinator of the Twin Cities Pride Cultural Art Center and is the founder of MIKHAMIK House of Arts.

Mikhamik es un artista, educador y curador venezolano queer con sede en Minneapolis. Con experiencia en marketing, artes audiovisuales y escenografía venezolana, obtuvo su BFA en Escultura con una Historia del Arte en la Facultad de Arte y Diseño de Minneapolis. Su trabajo se centra en temas de migración, fe, queerness y resiliencia, a menudo utilizando materiales no convencionales o encontrados para crear impacto emocional y político. Mikhamik es un beneficiario de la subvención MRAC 2025 y un artista del Orgullo de las Ciudades Gemelas en Residencia. Kandace Creel Falcón, Ph.D. is a primarily self-taught painter, feminist scholar visual artist. Born a 3rd generation Mexican American in Kansas on their mother’s side, and to a white father, their mixed & queer identities reflect the dynamic tensions present in their work. Raised in New Mexico, and currently living/working in rural Minnesota, KCF investigates the ways geography shapes Chicanx cultural production. KCF’s work disrupts conventional notions of femininity and domesticity. Their work can be seen on a billboard in rural MN, in higher education galleries, and was recently added to the Spencer Museum of Art's permanent collection.

Kandace Creel Falcón, Ph.D., es artista visual, académique feminista y artista principalmente autodidacte. Nació en Kansas y es mexicoamericane de tercera generación por parte de su familia materna, mientras que su padre es blanco. Sus identidades diversas y queer reflejan las tensiones dinámicas presentes en su obra. Se crió en Nuevo México y actualmente vive y trabaja en una zona rural de Minnesota, donde KCF explora las maneras en que la geografía influye en la producción cultural chicana. La obra de KCF cuestiona las nociones convencionales de feminidad y domesticidad. I am Frida Figueroa, a Guatemalan artist and graphic designer who enjoys experimenting with a wide range of media and conceptual approaches. My work explores themes of identity, vulnerability, and resilience within human experience, creating compositions rich in symbolism and layered with profound meaning. My artworks serve as both a testament to and a celebration of Latin American culture and history, embracing the pain, resilience, and richness that have shaped our land and continue to be shared through cultural exchange, empathy, and curiosity. Drawing on the styles and artistic movements of Maya civilization and cosmology while engaging with contemporary social issues, my work seeks to connect ancestral knowledge with present-day realities.

Soy Frida Figueroa, artista y diseñadora gráfica guatemalteca, y disfruto experimentar con una amplia variedad de medios y enfoques conceptuales. Mi obra explora temas de identidad, vulnerabilidad y resiliencia dentro de la experiencia humana, creando composiciones ricas en simbolismo y cargadas de un profundo significado. Mis obras sirven tanto como testimonio como celebración de la cultura y la historia latinoamericana, abrazando el dolor, la resiliencia y la riqueza que han dado forma a nuestra tierra y que continúan compartiéndose a través del intercambio cultural, la empatía y la curiosidad. Inspirándome en los estilos y movimientos artísticos de la civilización y la cosmología maya, mientras abordo problemáticas sociales contemporáneas, mi obra busca conectar los conocimientos ancestrales con las realidades del presente.

José Galván Martínez

José Galván Martínez (b. 1988, Mexico City, MX). Drawing parallels between urban decay and working-class communities, José Galván Martínez is a Chilango visual artist that explores the visuals of the urban experience through hand-built ceramics and textiles. His work yields from the assimilation to American culture, memories of his native Mexico, constant relocations and commutes. The artist’s childhood in Mexico City imprinted an early fascination with landmarks and urbanism, and the influence of his native country’s rich ceramic and textile culture is evident in his approach to the mediums. His work further explores Mexican dichos and refranes through video and performance. He received a BA from California State University, Channel Islands (2023) before receiving his MFA from California State University, Northridge (2026). Jose is the current Artist in Residence at Lux Center for the Arts and has participated in The Color Network’s 2024 Project M Residency at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Newcastle, ME, and 2022 Ventura Potters Guild Summer Residency at Clay Zen Studios in Ojai, CA. His work has been included in group exhibitions including Made in California at Brea Gallery in Brea, CA (2026), GlaMFA at California State University, Long Beach (2026), and Split Ends at OCC Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion in Costa Mesa, CA (2025). Jose lives and works in Lincoln, NE.

José Galván Martínez (n. 1988, Ciudad de México, México). Estableciendo paralelismos entre el deterioro urbano y las comunidades de clase trabajadora, José Galván Martínez es un artista visual chilango que explora las representaciones de la experiencia urbana a través de la cerámica y los textiles elaborados a mano. Su obra surge de la asimilación a la cultura estadounidense, los recuerdos de su México natal, así como de las constantes mudanzas y desplazamientos. La infancia del artista en la Ciudad de México despertó desde temprana edad una fascinación por los lugares emblemáticos y el urbanismo, mientras que la rica tradición cerámica y textil de su país natal se hace evidente en su aproximación a estos medios. Su trabajo también explora los dichos y refranes mexicanos a través del video y presentaciones. Eduardo Garcia

Eduardo García is a Colombian-born artist, poet, and Assistant Professor of Spanish at Drake University. Holding a Ph.D. from Iowa State University, he blends his academic background with creative practice. García crafts poetry and handmade books using traditional papermaking and bookbinding techniques and has recently expanded into creating paper sculptures featuring Pre-Columbian themes from post-consumer materials. A recipient of the McClain Art History Fellowship to study historic bookmaking in the Czech Republic, he integrates these tactile book arts into his university curriculum while maintaining an active membership in the Ames-based Art Salon Collaborative.

Eduardo García es un artista y poeta nacido en Colombia, y profesor de español en Drake University. Tiene un doctorado de Iowa State University, y combina su formación académica con su práctica artística. García crea poesía y libros artesanales utilizando técnicas tradicionales de fabricación de papel y encuadernación, y recientemente ha ampliado su práctica para crear esculturas de papel con temas precolombinos a partir de materiales posconsumo. Ha sido galardonado con la McClain Art History Fellowship para estudiar la elaboración histórica de libros en la República Checa. Ana Luisa González is a visual artist based in Omaha, Nebraska. With a background in art restoration and art history, she approaches materials and surfaces as witnesses of time and transformation. Her practice centers on textile-based abstraction and expanded painting, using hand-stitching, appliqué, layered fabric, and mixed media to construct emotional terrains addressing memory, migration, and belonging. Her work is developed through improvisation, allowing forms to emerge through process and intuition. She has exhibited internationally in Mexico, Chile, Canada, and the United States. In 2025, she received the Inside/Outside Fellowship at The Union for Contemporary Art.

Con una formación en restauración de arte e historia del arte, aborda los materiales y las superficies como testigos del tiempo y la transformación. Su práctica se centra en la abstracción basada en textiles y la pintura expandida, utilizando costura a mano, aplicaciones textiles, telas superpuestas y técnicas mixtas para construir territorios emocionales que abordan la memoria, la migración y el sentido de pertenencia. Lis González is a mixed media artist born and raised in Chile. Since the age of seven, she has traveled regularly to the United States, an experience that has shaped her perspective on identity, belonging, and artistic expression. She is currently a senior at Wayne State College in Nebraska, where she is pursuing a Bachelor in Studio Arts with a minor in Business Administration. González has developed a particular passion for printmaking and sculpture. Her work explores themes of homesickness, nature, memory, and cultural identity. She seeks to create meaningful connections between personal experience and shared human emotions.

Lis González es un artista de medios mixtos nacida y criada en Chile. Desde los siete años, ha viajado regularmente a los Estados Unidos, una experiencia que ha moldeado su perspectiva sobre la identidad, la pertenencia y la expresión artística. Actualmente es estudiante de último año en Wayne State College en Nebraska, donde está cursando una Licenciatura en Estudios de Artes con una subespecialización en Administración de Empresas. Oscar A. Gonzalez, Jr. (b. 1999) is an interdisciplinary printmaker and designer based in the greater Kansas City area. Born and raised in South-Central Kansas, he earned degrees in Printmaking, Visual Communication & Design, and Graphic Design. He is currently a second-year MFA candidate in Printmaking at the University of Kansas. Gonzalez's work explores family narratives, archives, memory, and grief through his experience as a first-generation Mexican American. Working across printmaking and interdisciplinary media, he investigates how images preserve cultural histories and shape identity. His work has been exhibited nationally in juried exhibitions and print exchanges.

Oscar A. Gonzalez, Jr. (Nacido en 1999) es un grabador y diseñador interdisciplinario con sede en el área metropolitana de Kansas City. Nacido y criado en el centro-sur de Kansas, obtuvo títulos en Grabado, Comunicación Visual & Diseño y Diseño Gráfico. Actualmente es un candidato de segundo año de MFA en grabado en la Universidad de Kansas. El trabajo de González explora narrativas familiares, archivos, memoria y dolor a través de su experiencia como mexicano-estadounidense de primera generación. Trabajando a través del grabado y los medios interdisciplinarios, investiga cómo las imágenes preservan las historias culturales y dan forma a la identidad. Adriana is a Colombian poet, mixed media artist, and Spanish educator based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her written and visual work challenges traditional gender expectations and migration stereotypes, drawing attention to environmental concerns through mythical and corporeal images that she weaves with her life experiences. Using collage, Adriana aims to repair, mend, reconnect, rewire, and rewrite her fragmented and juxtaposed perceptions of the world, so that she can transform her collective and individual traumas into a force of life.

Adriana es una poeta colombiana, artista de medios mixtos y educadora de español con sede en Saint Paul, Minnesota. Su trabajo escrito y visual desafía las expectativas tradicionales de género y los estereotipos migratorios, llamando la atención sobre las preocupaciones ambientales a través de imágenes míticas y corporales que teje con sus experiencias de vida. Usando el collage, Adriana tiene como objetivo reparar, remendar, reconectar y reescribir sus percepciones fragmentadas y yuxtaponadas del mundo, para que pueda transformar sus traumas colectivos e individuales en una fuerza de vida.

Marco Hernandez

Marco Hernandez is a Mexican Artist/Printmaker who currently resides in Kansas. He received his Master of Fine Arts Degree from Kansas State University in 2015. After receiving his MFA degree, he was hired as an art instructor at Kansas State University, and he became the Printmaking Area Coordinator for one semester. In the fall of 2016, Mr. Hernandez was hired as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Print Media at Wichita State University. He is currently still teaching at Wichita State University, and his current position is Assistant Teaching Professor of Print Media, Foundations Coordinator, and Associate Director.

Marco Hernandez es un artista/grabador mexicano que actualmente reside en Kansas. Obtuvo su Maestría en Bellas Artes de la Kansas State University en 2015. Después de recibir su título de MFA, fue contratado como instructor de arte en la Kansas State University, y se convirtió en el coordinador del área de grabado por un semestre. En el otoño del 2016, el Sr. Hernandez fue contratado como profesor visitante de medios impresos en Wichita State University. Actualmente está enseñando en Wichita State University, y su cargo actual es Profesor Asistente de Medios Impresos, Coordinador de Fundaciones y Director Asociado.

Being a first-generation Latina is something I will always be proud of, my roots, drive and memories all come from a place of resilience and hardship. Being only the third women in my family tree to attend university, my goal is to create art that reflects the pain immigrants carry, the strength it takes to go about our daily lives and the beauty immigrants create in a nation that can often stand against us. My art stems from the choices Latino immigrants make to create better lives, either for ourselves, our children or our parents. I have too many memories of the struggles immigrants face both within and outside of my family. I have witnessed how most of us start from the very bottom and work our way “up”. For many people “up” can still seem at the bottom of the barrel, but compared to where we began, we consider ourselves rich. My family is rich, rich in the sense that me and my brothers were able to attend school on a big yellow bus, rather than having to walk over a mile in the sun. Rich in living in a house where the walls are secure enough to hold a proper roof, instead of branches holding up sheets of steel. Rich in bills and tears spread across our kitchen table, instead of lighting fires for light and worrying our branch walls may catch fire. In my art, I want to bring more attention to the little things we often take for granted. They are milestones and symbols that go unnoticed and deserve to be seen and celebrated. I believe that my art can capture these small powerful moments that immigrants create. Through my paintings, graphite drawings, and stained hands, I aim to explore all the sacrifices, small victories, strength, and pride my community has. Being Latina is the one of the biggest foundations of my perspective. My art is my strongest voice and a way for me to help others finally see the beautiful world of immigrants and understand that our stories matter.

Ser una latina de primera generación es algo de lo que siempre estaré orgullosa. Mis raíces, mi determinación y mis recuerdos provienen de un lugar de resiliencia y dificultades. Al ser solamente la tercera mujer en mi árbol genealógico en asistir a la universidad, mi objetivo es crear arte que refleje el dolor que cargan los inmigrantes, la fuerza que se necesita para llevar a cabo nuestra vida diaria y la belleza que los inmigrantes crean en una nación que a menudo puede ponerse en nuestra contra. Mi arte surge de las decisiones que toman los inmigrantes latinos para crear vidas mejores, ya sea para nosotros mismos, nuestros hijos o nuestros padres. Tengo demasiados recuerdos de las dificultades que enfrentan los inmigrantes, tanto dentro como fuera de mi familia. He sido testigo de cómo la mayoría de nosotros comenzamos desde lo más bajo y nos abrimos camino “hacia arriba”. Para muchas personas, “hacia arriba” todavía puede parecer estar en el fondo, pero, en comparación con el lugar donde comenzamos, nos consideramos ricos. Mi familia es rica, rica en el sentido de que mis hermanos y yo pudimos asistir a la escuela en un gran autobús amarillo, en lugar de tener que caminar más de una milla bajo el sol. Ricos por vivir en una casa donde las paredes eran lo suficientemente seguras como para sostener un techo adecuado, en lugar de tener ramas sosteniendo láminas de metal. Ricos en tener facturas y lágrimas esparcidas sobre la mesa de nuestra cocina, en lugar de encender fuegos para tener luz y preocuparnos de que nuestras paredes de ramas pudieran incendiarse. En mi arte, quiero llamar más la atención sobre las pequeñas cosas que a menudo damos por sentado. Son logros y símbolos que pasan desapercibidos y que merecen ser vistos y celebrados. Creo que mi arte puede capturar estos pequeños y poderosos momentos que los inmigrantes crean. A través de mis pinturas, dibujos en grafito y mis manos manchadas, busco explorar todos los sacrificios, pequeñas victorias, fuerza y orgullo que tiene mi comunidad. Ser latina es uno de los pilares más importantes de mi perspectiva. Mi arte es mi voz más fuerte y una manera para mí de ayudar a otros a finalmente ver el hermoso mundo de los inmigrantes y entender que nuestras historias importan.

Mirzam Pérez (She, her, hers) is a Honduran-American visual artist based in Iowa. Using fabric and paint, she explores in her art what gives us the strength and fortitude to continue—to endure and to transform, both physically and metaphorically. This work is deeply personal. As an immigrant, she has had to continuously adjust, relocate, and reinvent herself across borders—geographic, cultural, and emotional. This journey of resilience and redefinition shapes every aspect of her creative process. The themes she explores are rooted in her lived experience: the tension of not fully belonging and the determination to claim space in multiple identities—as a Latine, a mother, an instructor, and an artist.

Mirzam Pérez (ella, ella, suya) es una artista visual hondureña-estadounidense radicada en Iowa. Usando tela y pintura, ella explora en su arte lo que nos da la fuerza y la fortaleza para continuar—para soportar y transformar, tanto física como metafóricamente. Este trabajo es profundamente personal. Como inmigrante, ha tenido que ajustarse, reubicarse y reinventarse continuamente a través de las fronteras—geográficas, culturales y emocionales. Bryan Raymundo is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Omaha, NE. Born in Wichita, KS, he spent much of his youth living in Durango, Mexico. Raymundo earned his B.F.A. in Printmaking from Wichita State University in 2019 and his M.F.A. in Printmaking from Kansas State University in 2023. Raymundo is the founder of “Black Fragment Press” and “Butcher Cut Prints” established in 2024. As a Mexican American artist, Raymundo’s work is rooted in the lived experiences of navigating identity, belonging, and resistance in the United States. He explores themes of social justice, drawing from personal and collective narratives within the Mexican American community. Through a blend of contemporary expression and art historical symbolism, Raymundo recontextualizes classical references to confront and illuminate present-day injustices.

Bryan Raymundo es un artista interdisciplinario que vive y trabaja en Omaha, NE. Nacido en Wichita, KS, pasó gran parte de su juventud viviendo en Durango, México. Raymundo obtuvo su licenciatura en grabado de Wichita State University en el 2019 y su maestría en grabado de Kansas State University en el 2023. Giselle Restrepo is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice centers on textiles, sculpture, and paper-based media. Her work navigates the tension between opposites—delicate and dangerous, beautiful and grotesque, aggressive and meditative, real and imagined—often grounding these contrasts in explorations of identity, aging, friendship, and motherhood. She has exhibited nationally, including solo/feature shows at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (CO) and the Dairy Arts Center (CO) (solo), and group shows at Mankato State’s Conkling Gallery (MN), the Minnesota Textile Center (MN), the Coburn Gallery at Colorado College (CO), and The Soap Factory (MN).

Beatriz Rodriguez is a Cuban born artist, and educator at Wayne State College. Her work deals with surreal scenes that touch on feelings of longing, estrangement, loss, and emigrant experience. Rodriguez received her BFA degree in Printmaking from Florida International University, graduating with honors and shortly after went on to receive her MFA from the University of Miami. While attending the University of Miami, Rodriguez received the Art Printmaking Award for two consecutive years. Her artwork has been widely exhibited at galleries and fairs nationwide. She’s also shown in museums such as The Yellowstone Art Museum and The Bradbury Art Museum, where she received the Cultural Steward Award. Her work has been published in Saw Palm: Florida Literature and Art, as well as in Voyage Magazine Miami.

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Chico Sierra now resides in the Midwest. Through his work, Sierra connects the invisible dots of his cultural history to create new stories based around humanism, class structures, and social justice. He blends these stories with his interests in social sciences and spiritual iconography. Sierra has artworks that has been displayed and acquired by the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and has worked and shown his artworks at The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art and curated works of local Latine artists alongside Maya cultural artifacts at Union Station in Kansas City.

Jamie Smith is a narrative painter based in the Omaha, Nebraska metro area, working primarily in acrylic. Her work explores cross-cultural storytelling and the quiet beauty found in ordinary moments. Influenced by her career as a Spanish teacher and her experiences in Latin America, Smith draws inspiration from language, memory, and the people and places she encounters. Smith began painting intentionally in 2021 after a serious back injury, discovering art as a source of healing and hope. Through bold color palettes and expressive imagery, her work celebrates resilience, cultural connection, and joy found in everyday life.

Ricardo Alejandro Trejo is a contemporary fine artist and professional tattooist driven by a lifelong devotion to the visual arts. Hugo Alberto Zamorano

Hugo Alberto Zamorano is a multidisciplinary artist. Born in L.A. in 1991, he discovered Graffiti and Hip-Hop. In 2006, he moved to South Omaha and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a BFA in Studio Art in 2015. He helped found the biennial art exhibition “ArteLatinX”, contributed to community murals, and became a mentor at the Joslyn’s Kent Bellows Mentoring Program (KBMP). In 2019, Hugo began working in theatre and set design. Hugo travels to and from Mexico painting art on walls and bringing artists’ artworks to curate shows. Currently, he is on the board of the Great Plains Theatre Commons (GPTC), works with the Omaha Sister Cities Association (OSCA), and is a teaching artist for multiple non-profits.
