Photos are an important element of webpages. It helps to tell the UNO story and connects users with the day-to-day life on campus.
- All images on the UNO website should be optimized for the web and at high resolution.
- Stock photos should not be used on the website.
You may request access to UNO's photo archive through Start Your Project. We encourage the use of UNO-approved images - these images are professionally taken, and reflect the real UNO campus and the Maverick community.

Tips for Resizing Images
Apple computers
- Using Preview, you can resize an image's dimensions.
- Open the image in Preview.
- In the menu, select Tools, then Adjust Size.
- Enter the desired width (the height should adjust proportionality).
PC/Microsoft computers
- Open image in Photos
- Click on the three dots in the upper right. Select Resize.
- In the pop-up window, select Define Custom Dimensions.
