Yes, Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) has been in existence since 1977 and is a department of the College of Business Administration. Professional Development is one of four programs at NBDC offering business services. In 1986, the program was started through a grant that supported the professional development of manufacturing companies. Over the years, the program expanded to include other industries and organizational development curriculum.

No, anyone can take courses through NBDC's Professional Development program. You do not need to apply to the university or apply to take classes. Simply register through our registration system and join us in our classroom!
We do not offer any financial aid.
Veterans, current service members and their families can use their GI Bill benefits for many of our
certificate programs. Military spouses may also use MyCAA to help support their education.

No, NBDC's Professional Development classes are non-credit. However, they do count for continuing education units or professional development credits for professionals who need to keep their certifications or licenses current.
The registration fee for in-person classes includes instruction, class materials or books, and parking on UNO property. Snacks and drinks are included and a complimentary lunch is included for full-day classes.

Classes must be paid for prior to attending. Please provide your name and email address and your

Classroom assignments are emailed to registered attendees at least a week before the start of class.
You can request a refund, transfer to a different class or move to the next scheduled class date. We ask that you give us a 10 business day cancellation or change notice. Classes cancelled less than 10 business days will be charged a 25% fee.

NBDC classes follow UNO's weather policy. If UNO cancels classes, NBDC classes will cancel. If UNO has a late start, NBDC classes will also have a late start. We will also send out email notifications of any potential weather issues or late starts.

- One-way traffic into and out of the classroom suite will be mandated.
