Biography

Stephanie has been teaching at UNO as a Communication Studies Instructor for more than seven years.  She has developed online curriculum and taught online in some capacity since 2016. Stephanie has not only created workshops to assist faculty with online teaching but has mentored faculty who are new to online teaching and course development.

Stephanie earned her B.S. in Communication from UNO in 2010 – GO MAVS!  She went on to earn her M.A in Managerial Communication and a graduate certification in Executive Coaching.

Prior to entering higher education, Stephanie was a Workforce Development Specialist for United States Strategic Command. She assisted with developing online learning modules for professional development purposes and coached a diverse group of Air Force leaders to enhance leadership competencies resulting in individual career development plans.

Outside of work, Stephanie lives in a small town in Iowa with her husband and two children.  In her free time, Stephanie loves to spend time with her family, travel and try new restaurants!

Why UNO and Digital Learning?

UNO has been my second home since I enrolled as undergraduate student in 2008.  I am a proud UNO alumna! 

I am also proud to be a part of the ILCI team!  It is exciting and gratifying to know that our team has such an expansive reach throughout the University working on initiatives that positively impact students, faculty, staff and even the community.
