Biography
Elizabeth Fiala is a proud Nebraskan with a passion for purposeful storytelling and student-centered learning. She earned her M.A. in English, with a focus in Creative Nonfiction, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2021. Since 2019, Elizabeth has served many roles in education: from teaching secondary students both in classrooms and online, to guiding writers as a consultant in local community college writing centers. In the summer of 2025, she brought her enthusiasm for instructional design to UNO’s ILCI team, where she collaborates with faculty and staff to craft learning experiences that inspire, engage, and support student success. She’s excited to collaborate with UNO’s dedicated faculty and staff in creating impactful learning environments that empower their students.Education
