Mid-Career FORWARD

Overview

Mid-Career FORWARD Logo

Promotion is a milestone - not an endpoint.

Mid-Career FORWARD supports recently-promoted faculty members as they move beyond promotion to intentionally shaping the next stage of their professional lives.

The years following promotion to lecturer or associate professor are often among the most influential in a faculty member's career. FORWARD supports faculty through these pivotal years.

Key program elements include:

  • Building knowledge and skills
  • Leading a unit-level project
  • Participating in self-reflection
  • Meeting with other participants for informal conversations
  • Engaging in group mentoring
  • Seeking and implementing feedback

We are accepting applications for Mid-Career FORWARD until November 1, 2026.
