Faculty Fellows
The Faculty Fellows program is intended to provide faculty interested in university administration with an opportunity to learn more and develop professionally while also expanding administrative and leadership capacity in an area of need. Fellow positions are typically conceived as 0.25FTE assignments that include a small administrative stipend for the Fellow and replacement instructional costs of up to $15,000 for the department. Though Faculty Fellow experiences vary across offices and areas, there are common program characteristics:
- Lead campus level initiative or project that builds resources or infrastructure
- Attend and participate in team meetings for the area
- Engage in leadership-focused professional development
- Enhance understanding of the organizational structure and administrative responsibilities of the university
- Expand professional networks across the campus
