10-Day Writing Challenge (Fall & Spring Semesters)
An asynchronous writing challenge. Each day (M-F) record a writing goal, devote an hour (of your choosing) to work toward that goal, and log a brief progress update. Participants receive writing motivators and can schedule time with a writing consultant.
Fall Break - Immersive Writing Experience
An immersive writing experience for faculty sponsored by the UNO Writing Center and the Center for Faculty Excellence. Join colleagues for two days (9am-3pm) of focused writing on your chosen project(s) during fall break. Peer support and writing consultants will be available. Breakfast and a snack will be provided on both days. Participants are free to bring their own lunch (microwave and fridge are available).
Spring Writing Sprint
An immersive writing experience for faculty sponsored by the UNO Writing Center and the Center for Faculty Excellence. Join colleagues for three days of focused writing on your chosen project(s). Peer support and writing consultants will be available. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on the 18th (Tuesday) and the 20th (Thursday). Coffee and tea will be provided on Wednesday and participants are free to bring their own lunch.
Writing Accountability Groups (WAGs)
Join a small group of colleagues who will help you stay focused on writing goals, provide feedback, and offer moral support. Form a group or request to be matched to a group. Full-time faculty may earn professional development funds for participating.

Winter Writing Retreat
A two-day immersive writing experience during January. Join colleagues who are devoting five hours a day to a writing project of their choice. Limited seats available.
