Writing Retreats

Immersive writing experiences for faculty sponsored by the UNO Writing Center and the Center for Faculty Excellence. During fall and winter break, join colleagues for two days of focused writing on your chosen project(s) from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. Peer support will be available. Breakfast and snacks will be provided on both days. Participants may bring their own lunch (microwave and fridge are available).

10-Day Writing Challenges

Asynchronous virtual writing challenges. For each day (M-F), record a writing goal, devote an hour (of your choosing) to work toward that goal, and log a brief progress update. Open to full- and part-time faculty, staff, and graduate students. Participants receive writing motivators and can schedule time with a writing consultant.

Spring Writing Sprint

An immersive writing experience for faculty sponsored by the UNO Writing Center and the Center for Faculty Excellence. Camp Completion

Conclude the academic year by completing one or more of your writing projects during a five-day immersive writing experience held the week following commencement. Breakfast and lunch will be served on three in-person days with Zoom check-ins on two virtual days.

Writing Accountability Groups (WAGs)

Join a small group of colleagues who will help you stay focused on writing goals, provide feedback, and offer moral support. Form a group or request to be matched to a group. Full-time faculty may earn professional development funds for participating.
