Graduate Assistantships

Interested individuals are encouraged to apply as early as possible

Download the CBA/Department of Economics Graduate Assistant Application, fill out the application and email it along with your professional resume to the Economics Graduate Program Chair as early as possible. You should also arrange to have at least two (2) letters of recommendation emailed directly to the graduate program chair. Note that the graduate assistantship (GA) in the Department of Economics is only available to students starting in the fall semester. This is a competitive process as there is only one GA position in the Department of Economics.

Criteria

The criteria for selecting graduate assistants are:

  • Academic record
  • Relevant work experience
  • Work ethic
  • GRE or GMAT scores (optional)

For additional details contact:

Dr. Catherine Co | Mammel Hall 332R | 402.554.2805 | cco@unomaha.edu

Other graduate assistantships:

As there is only one GA position in the Department of Economics, all interested students should apply for other assistantships, when available. To apply for graduate assistantships offered by other College of Business departments and the Nebraska Business Development Center, submit your completed CBA Graduate Assistant Application and your resume to Ms. Jessica Kampfe, mba@unomaha.edu, MBA Advisor, Mammel Hall 311, 402.554.3010. Graduate positions at non-academic units are sometimes available through UNO Human Resources.
