Scholarships

Four students.

Highly qualified students are nominated by the department for highly competitive university-level scholarships (e.g., Regents Tuition Waiver). Non-Nebraska residents are eligible to receive the UNO Advantage Scholarship, a tuition scholarship that awards an amount up to the difference between resident and non-resident tuition.

Each April, for the following academic year, the Department of Economics awards a Barbara Miller Scholarship, Horace and Kate King Wu Scholarship, Mark Wohar Scholarship, and a Bun Song Lee Scholarship to Economics graduate students. The scholarship amounts typically range from $800-$2,500.

Award Criteria
Barbara Miller Memorial Scholarship 3.5 GPA or above, enrolled full time
Mark Wohar Scholarship 3.5 GPA or above, enrolled full time
Horace and Kate King Wu Scholarship 3.5 GPA or above, enrolled full time
Bun Song Lee Scholarship 3.5 GPA or above, enrolled full time

Continuing students are considered for the department awards automatically. However, to be considered for university scholarships, please complete the unified scholarship application provided by clicking the button below.
