Detachment 470 — the “Wolfpack” — has for over seven decades established itself among the best campus ROTC units around. The university was one of 62 institutions chosen from a field of up to 600 schools seeking the program, and there are over 600 UNO Air Force ROTC graduates.

Air Force ROTC Detachment 470

Located in Omaha, Nebraska. Detachment 470, hosted at the University of Nebraska Omaha, is one of the oldest detachments in the country.

It is comprised of students from:

  • University of Nebraska at Omaha
  • Bellevue University
  • Clarkson College
  • College of Saint Mary
  • Creighton University
  • Iowa Western Community College
  • Metropolitan Community College
  • Nebraska Methodist College
  • University of Nebraska Medical Center

The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) is an educational program designed to give men and women the opportunity to become U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force officers while completing their degrees. The Air Force ROTC program is designed to prepare you to assume positions of increasing responsibility and importance in the modern Air and Space Forces.
