AFROTC Scholarships

While receiving an Air Force ROTC Scholarship is not a requirement to be in the program and become an Air Force or Space Force Officer, there are scholarship opportunities to have up to 100% of your school paid for! Below are some scholarship options for you through Air Force ROTC.

High School Scholarship Program (HSSP)

  • Start application process as a rising high school senior

  • Application window July-January every year

  • Three types of scholarships that cover a portion of or full tuition and fees

In-College Scholarship Program (ICSP)

  • Eligible after first semester in AFROTC

  • Nominated by Detachment Commander

  • Based on GPA, physical fitness, major, and class ranking

  • More information can be provided by Detachment 470 Staff

Charles McGee Leadership Award (CMLA)

  • Available to every eligible cadet after completing Field Training (between Sophomore and Junior year)

  • Two-year scholarship that awards up to $18,000 per year for tuition

  • Can be converted to housing benefit of up to $10,000 per year for two years
