About

Katie has held a variety of roles in higher education and joined the STEM TRAIL Center in July. Prior to the STEM TRAIL Center, she served in UNO’s Master of Arts in Critical and Creative Thinking program as an advisor/program coordinator.

She previously worked at Northeast Community College as a success coach and public relations assistant, as well as at the University of Alabama, where she taught English and creative writing. She holds a BFA from UNO and an MFA from Alabama, both in creative writing.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys photography, taking walks, watching Star Trek, and reading.
