Transfer Student Sign-up
What to expect at Transfer Student Orientation
Admitted students for spring 2018 must complete Online Orientation via Canvas.
Admitted students for summer or fall 2018 may choose between an in-person or online orientation.
Transfer Orientation Options
Online orientation provides access to the information covered during the in-person sessions, but allows students to do so when their schedule permits. Access to the online orientation course will be available at the beginning of April. Once the course is available, students will be provided access through Canvas within 24-48 hours after registering via their MavLINK account.
In-person Orientation sessions: UNO Ambassadors will be your guides as faculty, staff, and students introduce you to life at UNO. Attendees will learn about campus resources, academic expectations, and will have the ability to meet other new students.
Scheduling an Academic Advising Session
After you register for orientation, make an appointment with an advisor for the academic program you were admitted to. Advising should be scheduled following orientation attendance. For example, if you attend a morning Orientation session, we recommend you schedule your advising appointment for that afternoon. Bring unofficial copies of transcripts from your previous institutions. To make an appointment, find your Academic Advising Office's phone number.
