The Student Government Association (SGA) has five standing committees to implement SGA matters into effective actions. Committees ensure that SGA fosters community through accountability, transparency, responsibility, independence, and fairness. In addition, committees will have specific purposes, objectives, and tasks to comply with the SGA’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Budget Committee

The Budget Committee is responsible for allocating funds from student activity fees. This funding helps support student organizations and initiatives designed to enrich the student experience.

Civic Engagement Committee

The Civic Engagement Committee is dedicated to promoting student involvement in civic and community affairs. They work to connect students with opportunities for public service, voting initiatives, and other ways to engage with local and national topics.

DEIA Committee

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Committee encourages meaningful dialogue about the needs and priorities of our vibrant student community. The committee collaborates with student organizations to identify and address specific needs, promoting a welcoming environment.

Outreach Committee

The Outreach Committee focuses on helping organize impactful events that promote student engagement and foster a sense of community on campus. Through signature activities, the committee facilitates meaningful interactions between students and members of Student Government.

Rules Committee

The Rules Committee is responsible for ensuring that Student Government operates in accordance with established rules and procedures. They review and update governing documents as needed to maintain clarity and relevance, while upholding transparency and fairness in all processes.
