The UNO Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the official voice of the student body by advocating for interests to administration, faculty, staff, University of Nebraska Board of Regents, and broader community. Through engagement, leadership, and collaboration, it aims to elevate the overall student experience and foster a positive campus environment.

Agencies

SGA agencies play a vital role in enhancing student life by serving as smaller, focused organizations within the broader student government structure.

Branches

The SGA is comprised of three branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Each branch has a unique role in leadership, policymaking, and oversight.

Committees

The SGA has five standing committees to implement SGA matters into effective actions. Committees ensure that SGA fosters community through accountability, transparency, responsibility, independence, and fairness.

First Year Leadership Commission (FYLC)

The First Year Leadership Commission (FYLC) is made up of 20 first-year leaders who meet regularly to learn more about the UNO campus and SGA.
