Samuel Bak Museum: The Learning Center will forever alter the landscape of UNO through partnership and collaboration with all facets of the university.

The Museum will offer opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage in dialogue on the subjects of artistic expression, genocide, the Holocaust, and human rights. Students will benefit from exploring the themes of memory, suffering, survival, and justice presented in the works of Samuel Bak.

Through this partnership, UNO students will gain a sense of purpose, civic responsibility, critical thinking, inclusivity and cultural awareness.

The Museum collaborates across campus and colleges including strategic partnerships with the following university centers:

  • The Sam & Frances Fried Holocaust & Genocide Academy
  • The Schwalb Center for Israel & Jewish Studies
  • The Leonard and Shirley Goldstein Center for Human Rights
