Samuel Bak Museum: The Learning Center’s educational and outreach programming will combat prejudice through the teaching of remarkable stories of courage that emerged from humanity’s darkest period.
Studies show those who study the Holocaust are more empathetic, tolerant, and engaged. They recognize the dangers of discrimination and the importance of standing up against intolerance.
With the passage of LB 988 by the Nebraska Legislature requiring the State Board of Education to adopt standards for Holocaust and genocide education, the Museum will be an invaluable resource for Nebraska teachers, students, and the public to engage in these critically important dialogues.
We will begin offering free tours for middle-school and high-school students in Fall 2023.
