The Museum offers free learning opportunities and field trips for K-12 schools, after school programs, and youth centered organizations.

We offer a variety of learning activities to best meet each school or content area's needs and encourage collaborations to develop unique learning experiences for each group. SBMLC is a safespace for classes and engagement activities that encourage students to ask essential questions and consider hard truths that challenge us and reflect on possible ways forward.

SBMLC offers fully funded field trips to the Museum (reimbursement for bus and substitute costs). A choice menu of content specific activities for your field trip experiences.

Project-Based Learning and Service Learning

We welcome longer engagement activities with students from 7 through 12 grades in all subject areas. We have collaborated with visual art, creative writing, theater, and media arts courses on creative production projects and longer format projects-based learning projects.
