About Mary Kate
Mary Kate is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Shr received her Master of Social Work in 2008 from Loyola University, Chicago.
She has worked in the Human Services field for over 20 years. She joined UNO’s Counseling and Psychological Services in 2016.
Mary Kate has also been a part of Suicide Prevention efforts in Omaha since 2015. She works with UNO’s Housing Team and UNO’s Queer and Trans Services.
Mary Kate takes a strengths based approach to helping individuals achieve their goals. She uses trauma-informed, mindfulness, psychodynamic and CBT approaches to therapy as well.
Her free time is spent trying to enjoy as much of life as possible and takes self-care very seriously.
