About Emilio

Emilio Herrera is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Emilio earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Grace Abbott School of Social Work at UNO.

Before joining CAPS, Emilio has previously worked in the Diversity and Inclusion field and was the School Social Worker for Omaha South High School.

Emilio is the embedded counselor with the Thompson Learning Community, providing engagement opportunities, dedicated office hours for Thompson Scholars, as well as all other CAPS Services. 

Emilio enjoys hiking with his family, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, traveling, and continuing to learn and grow.
