Gennesis L. Guzman

Gennesis is a dedicated youth development professional working for the Omaha Police Department/Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands as a Youth and Family Engagement Specialist by implementing programming that supports youth development and positive behavior. Through her role, she helps minimize criminal behaviors in schools by providing support to school administration, teachers, staff, and the school resource officers. She works to strengthen relationships between youth, families, and law enforcement. She has also dedicated over 11 years to serving youth with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands. She has earned her bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a minor in Sociology and Human Rights from the University of Nebraska Omaha. She has a deep passion for serving and advocating for youth and is committed to creating positive change within the juvenile criminal justice system. The impact of her work has inspired her to continue pursuing higher education focusing on the juvenile criminal justice system to further advocate for reform and equitable opportunities for youth in her community.

Shanice Jackson

Shanice Jackson is a 33-year-old proud Black woman, devoted child of God, mother of four, and passionate leader dedicated to helping others overcome life’s challenges. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Shanice embodies resilience, faith, and purpose in every area of her life.

She is the CEO and founder of P-31 Services and Getting Over Adversity’s Together, two organizations built on her commitment to empowering others, creating community, and fostering personal growth. Through her leadership, Shanice provides resources, guidance, and encouragement to help individuals discover their purpose and achieve their goals, no matter the obstacles they face.

Currently pursuing degrees in Nursing Science and Psychology, Shanice’s mission is to blend her passion for healing and understanding people with her calling to serve. Her ultimate goal is to live out her God-given purpose—helping others find theirs—while creating lasting change in her community.

When she’s not studying or running her businesses, Shanice enjoys spending time with her four children and her three beloved French bulldogs, who bring joy and balance to her busy life. Grounded in faith, fueled by purpose, and driven by compassion, Shanice Jackson continues to be a shining example of perseverance, leadership, and love.

Alma Huerta-Martinez

Alma is a Bilingual Community Youth Coach with Community Based Services in Omaha, Nebraska. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Language and Literature with a concentration in Spanish from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

With over a year of experience, Alma has made a meaningful impact within the Spanish-speaking community by helping shift perspectives and promote positive change. She is deeply passionate about empowering at-risk youth, believing that every young person deserves to have a voice and access to the support they need to succeed, regardless of their circumstances.

Emily Lopez

Emily is a dedicated bilingual community professional with over six years of experience advocating for and serving the South Omaha community through her work in youth development, behavioral health, and family services. Her mission is centered on empowering individuals and families to achieve lasting growth and stability through evidence-based practices, collaboration, and compassionate engagement. As a strong advocate for the South Omaha community, Emily is recognized for her ability to build meaningful relationships, deliver effective support strategies, and promote positive outcomes that strengthen both youth and families. In her current role as a Community Youth Coach, she continues to mentor and guide young people toward educational, professional, and personal success while fostering resilience and confidence within each individual she serves.

Korrie currently works as a Community Youth Coach in Omaha, Nebraska. In her role, she provides support, resources, and guidance to youth seeking to make positive behavior change. Korrie has spent her career working to support individuals who are system impacted and trying to help make a difference in their futures.
