Additional Information

Profile

I am interested in the intersection between identity and autonomy, culture, the aging process, and their relationship to the trajectory of public policies within the health care system. In addition to English, I speak German, Urdu, Arabic, and Spanish, which allows me the opportunity to reach a wider scope for the nature of my research. I have a background in public policy, licensing and certification of healthcare facilities, and governmental regulations. My goals would be to create food and social support programs within long-term care facilities that are inclusive to a variety of ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds. My great passions are reflective of my multi-cultural identity and how important culture is to ethical considerations of autonomy for older adults, both in home and healthcare settings.

  • PhD Gerontology (2022-present), University of Nebraska Omaha
  • Master of Public Health, Concentration in Healthcare Ethics (2019-2021), Creighton University
  • BA Psychology, Minor in German studies (2013-2018), Creighton University
