Nebraska State Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP)

Eligibility/ Requirements: Must be a low-income, Nebraskan. While based out of Lincoln, any Nebraskan is eligible to apply.

About: Also known as the Attorney Referral Line, VLP is a statewide pro bono (free) legal program for the less fortunate and unrepresented in Nebraska.

Eligibility/ Requirements: Legal Aid of Nebraska serves people with limited resources. When you apply for services, you will be asked about your household income and assets, citizenship, demographic information, and your legal issue to determine if you qualify for services under one of our many projects and programs.

Disability Claims Consultants

Eligibility/ Requirements: Persons with chronic or temporary disabilities and their families. Both adults and children are eligible for services.

About: Representation for people with disabilities in order to protect their rights and to obtain the disability insurance benefits that they deserve now and in the future. They help in the process of applications and appeals, handle all of the paperwork and phone calls that you receive from the Social Security Administration during the processing of your disability claim, evaluate your claim, help you file all the necessary paperwork to apply for benefits, and guide you through all levels of the Social Security appeals process to prove your eligibility for disability benefits. There is no cost to you for our representation unless/until we obtain benefits for you. View all services

About: The Center for Legal Immigration Assistance (CLIA) exists to open doors of equal opportunity to immigrants and refugees by providing quality, affordable immigration-related legal services which immigrants have identified as their number one need. Must have an appointment to be seen by an attorney.
