Transitional Housing for Men

Alcoholics Resocialization Counseling Help (A.R.C.H.)

Restrictions and Requirements: Males, 18 years and older, must find and maintain full time employment, attend weekly individualized counseling, and attend 3-5 12 Step Meetings per week. All prospective residents must undergo screening before being placed on a wait list.

Fees: $140/week for room, board and counseling, and is based upon the resident's ability to pay. $300/Month for rent.

Out of state residents will be required to pay an additional fee of $880.

Description:

A.R.C.H. holds 28 beds between two locations and requires a highly structured lifestyle. Residents will be assisted in their development of life skills, time and financial budgeting as needed, and referred to mental health assistance as needed. Individualized, person-centered treatment plans and family/community resource counseling is offered. Residents will be assisted with placement into a ¾ way house after successful completion of the program.

The Kelly House

Restrictions and Requirements: Males, 19 years and older, who have been referred to the Kelly House by a case manager and are actively engaged in their treatment. All prospective residents must provide a written application, undergo telephone screening and conduct a face-to-face interview before being placed on a wait list.

Fees: Based on individual need

Description: The Kelly House is a 14 bed halfway house whose staff works to assure that each person in their program is treated with respect & dignity as they lean to cope with mental illness & gain the skills they need to live as independently as possible.

Murphy's Turning Point

Restrictions and Requirements: Men 18+. Must be clean/sober for 30 days upon interview. Minimum stay of 90 days. No registered sex offenders.

Fees: $105/ week

Description: Murphy's Turning Point specializes in relapse prevention for men who are recovering from alcohol and drug

addiction by offering affordable sober living three-quarter way homes. All homes are within a 2 block radius of bus stops.

Oxford House Inc.

Restrictions and Requirements: Adult males transitioning from inpatient treatment centers.

Fees: residents pay rent, utility and other household expenses. Cost may vary between households.

Description: Oxford House Inc. has twenty one (21) locations for men throughout the Omaha area. Each household holds between 6 to 15 residents who live in a democratically run, self supporting, and drug free environment.

The Lynn House

Requirements: Prospective residents must be drug and alcohol free for 12-24 hours, have not been through the Lynn house in the past year or three other times in her life, is not taking mind altering medications or is able to get a doctor's letter stating it is safe to go off of these medications, is able to commit to at least a 30 day stay, is not a registered sex offender, and is willing to follow the rules of the house.

Fee: Free for the first 30 days with an option to continue on for 6 more months for a nominal fee.

Description: The Lynn House is an eight bed halfway home whose staff works to help their residents better prepare themselves for a life free from addiction by providing counseling and referral services not normally available in traditional halfway house settings. In addition to addiction counseling, the Lynn House provides residents with educational and occupational counseling when needed, further improving their odds of achieving permanent sobriety.

Santa Monica House

Restrictions and Requirements: Females 18 years and older.

Fees: Fees are flexible upon individual's income. State assistance available.

Description:Santa Monica House is an 18 bed halfway house for women. This service is grounded in the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and provides a strength based, trauma informed holistic treatment experience that utilizes evidence proven practices to partner with women on their journey in recovery.


Oxford House Inc.

Transitional Housing for Women with Children

Heartland Family Services

Transitional Living

Restrictions: Services available for women with children. Must have completed an intensive inpatient treatment.

Cost: Sliding fee based on income

Description:

Sober living facility for clients transitioning back into the community after intensive inpatient treatment. Maintains daily structure and rules for sober living.
