2020 RET WRIST Spring Workshop

Date and Time: 8:30 AM - 12:50 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2020.

Location: 158 PKI, Peter Kiewit Institute (Scott Campus, University of Nebraska Omaha)


As part of our efforts to broaden K-12 computer science education, we invite local teachers of 6th through 12th graders in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), and other STEM-related areas to attend a one-day workshop on Wearable Research for In-Service STEM Teachers (WRIST) – a part of the NSF funded Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) program at UNO.

In this workshop, participants in our six-week immersive RET summer project in 2019 will present their development of CS and IT-related course modules and lesson materials, and share their experiences in delivering these modules in their classrooms.

Teachers who participate in this workshop will receive a $200 stipend.

A tentative schedule of the workshop is as follows:
