Maverick Investment Program
Program history
In July 2001, Colonel Cloud donated roughly $250,000 to establish the Maverick Investment Program. The fund has grown over time with additional donations and members' investment decisions.
Members
The Cloud Student Managed Investment Fund is monitored by roughly 70 student members at UNO. Membership in the Maverick Investment Program consists mainly of students enrolled in the College of Business Administration; however, campuswide participation is encouraged.
Members participate at meetings by discussing equity investments and market movements with guest speakers from the business community. Members are responsible for tracking the performance of the individual equities held within the Cloud Fund. In addition, a final buy-sell meeting will decide what stock the program invests. Final analysis and portfolio strategies are performed by the program’s management team.
