A Partnership For Success
If you’re a declared Sociology major with 27 or more hours you’ll need to see a faculty member from the Department of Sociology for advising. (If you're undeclared or have fewer than 27 hours, you'll need to see an Arts & Sciences Advising Center Advisor.)
Our faculty advisors are here not only to help you plan your schedule, but also to answer questions about our programs of study, study abroad options, career options, as well as graduate and professional schools. You may schedule an advising appointment during any point in the year, but should note that the heaviest advising time at UNO is typically during the months of October, for the spring semester classes, and March for the fall semester.
To schedule an appointment, please call (402) 554-2626 or stop by Arts & Sciences Hall 383.

* If you're minoring in Sociology or Anthropology, you can see any of the above advisors. However, it may be useful to consider the coursework that you'd like to take and choose the advisor who best fits your interests.
