Graduating from Burke High School in 2010, Rashonda was the recipient of the Susan Buffet Scholarship and immediately began her time at UNO the next fall. One of her first experiences with UNO was being a part of the Thompson Learning Community (TLC). Rashonda said that being part of a tight-knit group of other students made transitioning to college life less scary.
There are many things Rashonda enjoys about working at UNO, mostly her interaction with new students who arrive on campus. “Being able to help students get where they want to be, helping them reach their goals and do better in life is what makes my job so great.” Combine that with a great crop of co-workers and an upbeat campus and it’s no wonder why Rashonda enjoys coming into the office every day.
Working with someone like Rashonda will ensure nothing but the most positive experience during your time at UNO. With her knowledge of the university as both a student and an employee, she’s ready to help any student on a path to success while making the best of their time on campus.
