Dreamer's Pathway Scholarship

The Dreamer's Pathway Scholarship Application for 2023-2024 is now open!

To qualify for the scholarship during the 2023-2024 school year, a student must meet all eligibility criteria below and submit the application and materials by Monday, May 15, 2023 by 11:59pm.

Eligibility Criteria & Requirements

The Dreamer’s Pathway Scholarship is for students who are Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Nebraska residents who are seeking an undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Students who qualify are eligible to receive a renewable* tuition, fees, and books scholarship for up to five years, or until an undergraduate degree is earned, whichever comes first. To qualify you must:

  1. Be an admitted UNO student. Apply to UNO online at unomaha.edu.
  2. Complete the Dreamer's Pathway Scholars Program Application
  3. Be a Nebraska high school graduate.
  4. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale from an accredited Nebraska high school or institution of higher education.
  5. Be in need of financial assistance. (Please use the College Funding Estimator for the current year at EducationQuest resources!) Please print or save the PDF document and attach the results to your scholarship application.
  6. Submit a minimum of one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, principal, mentor, coach, or supervisor.
  7. Complete the required essay questions.

La aplicacion de la Beca Dreamer's Pathway para 2023-2024 ya esta abierta!

Para calificar para la beca durante el ano escolar 2023-2024, el estudiante debe cumplir con todos los criterios de elegibilidad y completar la aplicación antes de la fecha limite, Lunes 15 de Mayo del 2023 a las 11:59 p.m.

Los estudiantes ya admitidos a UNO ya pueden encontrar y completar la aplicacion de la beca en el Portal de Becas en Mavlink.

Criterios de elegibilidad y requisitos

La beca Dreamer’ Pathway es para los estudiantes bajo la Acción Diferida (DACA por sus siglas en inglés) y son residentes de Nebraska que buscan un programa de licenciatura en la Universidad de Nebraska en Omaha.

Estudiantes que califican son elegibles para recibir una beca que cubre la matrícula universitaria, cuotas, y libros por cinco años o tras la finalización de un programa de licenciatura, lo que ocurra primero. Para calificar debe:

  1. Ser un estudiante admitido a UNO
  2. Completar la aplicación de Dreamer's Pathway Scholars Program
  3. Ser un graduado de la escuela secundaria de Nebraska
  4. Tener un promedio mínimo de 2.5 en una escala de 4.0 de una escuela secundaria o institución acreditada de Nebraska.
  5. Estar en necesidad de asistencia financiera. (Utilice el Estimador de fondos para el año corriente de EducationQuest) Imprima o guarde el documento PDF y adjunte los resultados a su solicitud de beca.
  6. Presentar al menos una carta de recomendación de un maestro, consejero, director, mentor entrenador o supervisor.
