Community Supported Agriculture

The Maverick Food Pantry's Community Supported Agriculture is back for a fourth year with Wenninghoff's Farmer's Market! Support local farmers and the Maverick Food Pantry while filling your stomach with fresh, local produce!

The Maverick Food Pantry's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is back for the fourth year!

Community Supported Agriculture programs are important for a variety of reasons: affordability, healthy and fresh produce, support for local producers and local economies, sustainability, and deep connection to land and food. For the Maverick Food Pantry, we not only receive a donation from Wenninghoff’s, but we also distribute leftover and discarded produce items to pantry guests. By participating, you are helping us feed more people with more fresh, healthy, local, and sustainably grown food – and that matters!

You can also donate a share to the Maverick Food Pantry - please email us (unomavfoodpantry@unomaha.edu) to coordinate!

CSA participants are permitted to park in Lot E on UNO’s campus in order to grab their weekly box. Shares will be dropped off in the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center, Room 106 (in the pantry).
